Preparation Instructions:
Chris from Portland Oregon sent us this spinach red beetroot juice recipe, and I found it quite delicious. For those of you unfamiliar with the health benefits of red beetroot, they are packed full of vitamins and minerals, and are known to be excellent for the kidneys and liver. To get the recipe started, first you will want to wash and rinse your produce under cold running tap water. If you purchased your red beetroots from a trusted source, such as a local farmer or organic market, then go ahead and leave the greens on the beetroots, as they also contain lots of healthy nutrients. Next go ahead and remove the peel from your lemon, as juicing it can create a bitter flavor within your juice. You are now all set to begin juicing, so setup your machine and turn it on, then run all of your fresh organic produce through the machine. You want about half a liter of finished juice, or roughly a pints worth. Once your juice is finished, you will want to thoroughly stir it with a long spoon so that the flavor is nice and consistent.
