Preparation Instructions:
Mandy from New York City was kind enough to submit this spinach evaporated cane juice tonic recipe. For those of you who are not familiar with evaporated cane juice, it's an organic form of granulated sugar that is created from raw liquid cane juice. Many people, including raw vegans and food puritans, cannot tolerate the somewhat grassy taste of pure spinach juice, and thus like to add a little natural sweetener to it so that it's more pleasurable to drink. To get started with the recipe process, you will want to take out your electric juicer and make any preparations necessary to it. Next you will want to thoroughly wash and rinse your spinach using a standard metal or plastic strainer. You are now ready to begin the juicing process, so turn the machine on, and begin feeding your fresh locally grown organic spinach through the machine. You will want to make roughly half a liter of juice or more, so go ahead and make any necessary changes to the recipe proportions, as some spinach will yield more juice liquid than others. Once your collection container is full of juice, rapidly stir in the evaporated cane juice, stirring until the granulates have fully dissolved into the green liquid.
